Digital Brand Manager - 12 month fixed-term - Christchurch
It's taken some good old-fashioned hard work to get where we are, and our committed team are a huge part of our ongoing success. We process over 700 million litres of milk a year and produce a wide range of consumer and foodservice products, and dairy ingredients.
With an impending new arrival for a key member of our Marketing Team, we have a requirement for an equally passionate and committed Digital Brand Manager to join the team for a 12m period of parental leave cover. Based at our Christchurch office (Hornby) and reporting directly to the Head of Marketing, this role will drive and manage our digital channels and social media marketing programmes for Westland, Westpro and Westgold brands for all markets, including international distribution partners.
About the role:
This is a critical role at Westland Milk Products, with responsibility for ensuring that our brands and our product portfolios have an effective digital strategy, incorporating campaigns, brand building, social media content curation and community management.Working across a range of platforms (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn and Tik Tok) this role will own and advance our digital strategy in addition to managing our websites (including SEO) to ensure that they remain fresh and relevant to customers, consumers, and community across both local and global markets.
Ably supported by a Digital Content Manager, the Digital Brand Manager will also provide leadership and guidance to digital content development and will oversee the management and execution of Westland Milk Products, Westpro and Westgold's Digital Content Calendars ensuring alignment with the relevant key stakeholders.With a creative flair, digital know-how and a finger on the pulse of the latest social trends, this role will play a pivotal role in Westgold's global promotional and marketing campaigns and Westpro's B2B activities.
Applicants will ideally possess:
- At least 3 years' proven experience working in a digital and social media marketing capacity
- Previous experience in FMCG marketing (strongly preferred) ideally with previous exposure to international marketing
- A relevant tertiary qualification in digital marketing or similar
- An adaptable, proactive and collaborative approach along with the ability to develop & maintain effective working relationships
- An eagerness to create content - ideally supported by the ability to think creatively
- An appetite for new technology and communicating with consumers/customers
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills together with exceptional planning and organisational ability
- Well-developed strategic and commercial acumen supported by strong analytical and problem-solving skills
