Team Global Express NZ delivers freight forwarding, end-to-end transport services, and comprehensive logistics solutions to customers operating across New Zealand from Kaitaia to Invercargill.

Due to continued growth, we are seeking a Compliance & Safety Specialist for our **PM Shift** on our National Transport team in Auckland to be responsible to ensure safety, service & compliance needs for our network. **Shift hours:** 21.30pm - 06.00am

**About the role - Mo te turanga**

Reporting to the National Transport Lead, you will be an integral part of the National Transport team and will be expected to help drive the business forward.

Additional key responsibilities include:

  • Facilitate proactive action of service delays to customers.
  • Transport safety issues to the network
  • Highlight compliance risks to key stakeholders.
  • Build close relationship with operators and branch contacts.
  • Provide ad-hoc project support.
  • Proactively communicate with ops in case of delay in network/ linehaul plan
  • Data entry into spreadsheets / database

To be successful in this role, you will be a team player with a proactive mindset and a laser focus on health and safety - It's not just part the job, it's how you work.

Additionally, you will need:

  • Class 1 Drivers license
  • A strong health and safety focus
  • OSH approved forklift certificate
  • Prior long fork experience (preferred but not essential)
  • An understanding of dangerous goods laws (preferred but not essential)
  • Prior work experience in the freight industry (preferred but not essential)
