The Role

We’re looking for a motivated junior CAD designer—ideally with a background in mechanical or marine design—to join our design team. This is a growth opportunity for someone who wants to establish roots in Hawke’s Bay and evolve into a key leadership position over time.

What You’ll Be Doing

Supporting the development of 3D models and 2D manufacturing drawings

Preparing cut files for CNC nesting and sheetmetal fabrication

Collaborating with our production and engineering teams to optimise manufacturability

Assisting with prototyping and design changes across multiple boat models

Learning the ropes of end-to-end design and production workflows

What We’re Looking For

A tertiary qualification in mechanical engineering, product design, naval architecture, or similar

Experience or confidence using 3D CAD software

A solid understanding of sheetmetal fabrication fundamentals

Good communication and organisational skills

A hands-on attitude and willingness to grow with the business

NZ residency or valid work rights
