Machine Maintenance Technician Want
We are a boutique cat and dog food exporter based in Tuakau, near Pukekohe.We export air dried and freeze-dried product globally- recipes such as venison and salmon with blueberry and feijoa.... we are not your typical pet food company.We operate a clean and tidy production site and packing site.
We are looking for one full-time Machine Maintenance Technician to join our team on a Permanent basis. (Minium guarantee is 30 hours/week, working from Monday to Friday,8:00 am-4:30 pm) The location of work will be within the North Waikato Region.
We offer the salary of $30/hour and it could be negotiated to up to $35.00 per hour depending on your personal attributes and experiences.
To be successful you will need:
- You will need to have at least 2 years’ relevant work experience in the same field
- Or have a relevant level 4 or equivalent qualifications/certificates, when being considered
The duties include:
- Inspecting and servicing all machinery involved in the manufacture and packing of pet food product.
- Interaction with engineers as required for specialist tasks.
- Maintaining records of machine performance, maintenance, orders of parts and engineering work done.
- Identifying bottlenecks in production and proposing improvements required.
- Sourcing new machinery and liaising with suppliers during purchase and installation.
- Fulfil other duties as reasonably required by management
- Ability to perform routine examinations and tests to diagnose faults and errors.
- Ability to repair, program, and troubleshoot control systems on and food processing machines.
- Ability to maintain a preventative maintenance schedule for inspecting, servicing, and testing of machines.
- Experience in the application of adhesives, lubricants or other materials to machines or their parts as well as other equipment in accordance with stated procedures.
- Ability to advise on the correct operating procedures and manuals to prevent malfunctions and ensure workplace safety.
- Ability to keep clear and tidy records pertaining to maintenance and repair history, and to analyse the data.
- The ability to work closely with the manufacturing and operating team to get machines up and running to capacity.
- Commerciality: ability to apply knowledge in a practical, commercial manner.
- Teamwork: willingness to assist and support others as required and get on with team members.
- Attention to detail: excellent attention to detail and written skills when communicating with others, both internally and externally.
