In this role you will: Prepare a report on the information held by the Ministry for the purpose of a caregiver application Complete a Review and provide a written summary for the assessing caregiver social workers The ability to manage risk and make informed decisions Liaise with Oranga Tamariki teams and sites Respond to enquiries from people interested in being a caregiver Ensure our caregivers understand their part in a child's journey through care, and ensure they are well informed about the caregiver's role and responsibilities Support whānau and non-whānau caregivers through the application process Ngā pūmanawatanga ōu | What you will bringKey requirements of the role include: A recognised Social Work qualification by the Social Worker Registration Board (SWRB) Full registration with New Zealand's Social Worker Registration Board (SWRB) A full, clean New Zealand's driver's licence Demonstrated resilience, critical thinking and problem-solving techniques Understanding and appreciation of cross-cultural practices in particular; knowledge of tikanga Māori, and Pacific peoples' culture and demonstrating this in practice Passion and vision for caregivers and what they need to succeed Excellent relationship management skills Well-developed written and verbal communication skills Strong admin and customer service focus Tech savvy with experience working with a range of computer-based programs Nōu te rourou | What's in it for youWe offer a vibrant and supportive team and a genuine commitment to wellbeing.
