About the role | Mo te turanga:
Our Microbiology Department is currently searching for a dedicated, enthusiastic and competent Medical Laboratory Technician. This is a Permanent full-time position of 80 hours per fortnight.
To succeed in this role you will need:
The ability to work in a methodical manner adhering to strict quality procedure guidelines
A team focus with initiative, excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and possess the ability to work in a fast paced, deadline-oriented environmentSound knowledge of laboratory operations including, safety, quality assurance processes, operation of equipment and hands-on practical experience
Registration with the Medical Sciences Council of New Zealand under the scope of Medical Laboratory Technician and a current Annual Practicing Certificate are advantageous, but not essential.
Available to work rostered and rotating weekends and evenings. Please note these hours attract penal rates.
