About the Role (Your Why)
As a Reconciliation Officer, you will be responsible for effective administration of the employer and member accounts within the Fund. You will assist to resolve reconciliation variances identified through completing high level Employer reconciliations.Develop and maintain positive relationships with contributing employers. Reconcile the superannuation payments received from employers contributing to the schemes.
This role will be offered as a 12-month fixed term contract.
Our office is based in Featherston St. in Wellington. We like to bring people together in person when we can, but we are mindful of the benefits of working from home for work/ life balance. We therefore leave it to you and the team you join to figure out what works best!
What you’ll do
In this role, you will be responsible for the following:
- Reconcile the Superannuation payments received for the schemes
- Effective management of the various Employer accounts within the fund
- Resolve reconciliation variances identified through completing high level Employer reconciliations
- Assist the team in meeting the annual financial reporting requirements for the fund
- Develop and maintain positive relationship with the Employers contributing to the schemes
- Gain in-depth knowledge of other reconciliation requirements of the business unit
- Provide back-up support to other staff in the Finance Operations team
- Contribute to business process innovation and periodic process improvement
- Comply with the Business Unit performance standards
- Build Knowledge Base
- Build competency with all programs associated with the team.
- Gain in-depth knowledge of the Act and apply this to the needs of the superannuation business unit.
