This is a 6 month fixed term position.Our vision is “Working together for a Healthier Tairāwhiti” so this means you will enjoy contributing to a supportive team environment with our highly experienced and committed Obstetricians, as well as House Officers and the many other multi-disciplinary teams and departments.As an obstetric & gynaecological registrar you will have the opportunity to develop skills in Women’s Health.
The department consists of six Consultants in obstetrics & gynaecology as well as specialist nurses.As part of your duties you will participate in acute admissions, maternity, theatre and outpatient clinic management, giving you exposure to a wide range of medical presentations and procedures.
There are also a number of educational opportunities including journal club, protected teaching and clinical skills sessions.
Position Description | O&G Registrar About the Team/Service/ LocationGisborne Hospital, a 110 bed acute care hospital which serves a wide geographical area, Tairāwhiti, extending up the East Cape of New Zealand, creating enormous scope and variety in the work available to an enthusiastic registrar.
Providing healthcare to a population of 54,000, Health NZ Te Whatu Ora Tairāwhiti is well supported locally by comprehensive surgical services and has a full range of diagnostic facilities on site including a new MRI scanner and CT scanner.
