Automotive Technician/ Mechanic
Powerhaus is one of the top independent European workshops in New Zealand and we’re looking for a qualified mechanic to be part of our team.
We’re after someone with at least two years of workshop experience, preferably with some of that working specifically on European vehicles. You need to have a Level 4 MITO/NZQA qualification, or be pretty close to completing it. A WOF inspection authority will move your application to the top of our list.
While we work on cool and interesting cars, the basics still need to be done: You need a solid handle on everyday servicing and repairs: oil changing, brake repair, steering and suspension repairs, cambelts, all the usual suspects. You also need your own set of hand tools.
We’re a small team so being a solid team player is critical. Our reputation is built on being honest, patient and clearly explaining what’s happening with the vehicles that roll through our doors - both to our customers and to the rest of the team - the vehicles we work on are often their owners' pride and joy!
Our usual work hours are Monday - Friday 8.00am - 5.30pm, but if you need different hours to pick up the kids or make it to practice for your sports team, we’ll make it work for the right person.
If you’ve got the skills and attitude we’re after, send us a copy of your CV and let us know why you’d be a great fit for our team by email to reuben@powerhaus.net.nz, or call Reuben on 04 499 8715 for a confidential chat about the team and the job
