This role involves designing and facilitating dementia-specific education sessions and developing person-centred support for other registered health professionals in aged residential and home-based care.

The Dementia Education Facilitator function additionally extends to the wider OPMH service, offering support, advice, care-plan mapping and education to OPMH staff.About YouThe successful candidate will be a confident practitioner with suitable experience working with tangata whai ora / clients with mate wareware / dementia, who has a passion for developing, promoting, and facilitating person-centred dementia care education.

Experience in developing and presenting educational resources will be an advantage.
Necessary personal attributes would include self-motivation, excellent interpersonal skills, and diverse communication skills that enhance delivery of learning goals.This is a 0.8 FTE, permanent part-time position, working within Monday
