- About the roleRehabilitation services across Dunedin cover a range of areas both inpatient and community.
Each team is a dynamic and evolving interdisciplinary team and the wider occupational therapy team is a supportive innovative team.
We want to start looking at services across the age range and how we can support staff to expand their neurorehabilitation knowledge to plan and provide best-practice rehabilitation to our diverse patients in an inpatient setting or in the patient's home.We take pride in supporting our staff to grow and we enable ongoing professional development including regular team in-services, staff mentoring and peer review and access to course and conference funding.
We support student education throughout clinical placements.You'll have the opportunity to develop your knowledge and expertise in rehabilitation with medical, orthopaedic and neurological conditions including stroke and traumatic brain injury (TBI).
You will also have the opportunity to support, teach and upskill students and junior staff.
There is also an opportunity to look and service development and innovationView position descriptionMōu ake- About youAs an experienced Occupational Therapist, you will have a range of experience that includes working in a rehabilitation setting with patients with stroke, TBI and other neurological conditions.
You will demonstrate a strong understanding of optimising patient outcomes and facilitating effective discharge planning, using a patient-centred and evidence-based approach to goal setting and intervention.In addition, you will have enthusiasm and a willingness to commit to our team and patients.

- Salary rangeThis role belongs to the PSA/DHBs Allied, Public Health and Technical Multi-Employer Collective Agreement and falls between Step 8 ($107,000 p.a) and Step 10 ($113,000 p.a) pro rata) of the Allied, Public Health and Technical scale.Rā mōnehu
