About the RoleWe are looking for individuals who can support our taangata whaiora and their whaanau during their admission period across our inpatient services. Maaori are significantly represented across our services, which is why we are moving towards becoming a ‘culturally led, clinically underpinned’ serviceDelivering excellent care in a culturally responsive manner, to support the best outcomes for Maaori is fundamental to our mahi.Responsibilities of the role:To report observed changes in tangata whaiora’s health status to the registered health professionalTo have an understanding of potential/ actual risk factors and how to de-escalate and escalate to ensure the safety of our tāngata whaioraTo apply culturally safe principles in the workplaceThere is an expectation these roles will work across all shifts (morning, afternoon, night) Click here to view the position description.
About the Team/ServiceThese roles offer an opportunity to work as part of a dynamic and passionate team in a variety of in-patient mental health environments; every day is different and you have the opportunity to make a real impact to the lives of others.We currently have very limited positions available; candidates with a good understanding of Te Ao Maaori and the ability to support our Maaori tangata whaiora through a strong Te Ao Maaori lens will be prioritised for interview.
