Industrial Electrician**

My client is a New Zealand-owned national company providing electrical, HVAC, and refrigeration services. They serve a wide range of commercial and industrial customers, offering:
- Facilities preventative maintenance management and implementation
- Commercial electrical installation, service, and repair
- UPS and power protection systems installation and maintenance
- Retail fit-out installation
- EV charger and solar installation work
- Industrial maintenance and installations
The position involves both onsite and offsite work, requiring a variety of skill sets:
- Electrical installation work
- Electrical service and repair in commercial environments
- Management of small electrical jobs and repairs, including pricing and procurement
- Project management opportunities
- UPS, EV charger, and solar installation work
- DC systems
- Experience with extra low voltage
- Emergency lighting maintenance and building compliance
- Interpretation of plans, drawings, specifications, and work orders
- Conducting electrical safety tests per NZ Electrical Board requirements
- Collaborating with management to develop and refine processes
- Experience in telecommunication maintenance is beneficial
- Full-time, 40 hours per week, with on-call rotation
- Competitive hourly and overtime rates
- New Zealand electrical practicing license and EWRB registration
- HVAC-related electrical work is beneficial but not required
- Strong communication skills (excellent English, both written and verbal)
- Site Safe (Building Construction Passport) is an advantage
- Ability to work unsupervised and resolve issues independently, with team support available
- Occasional travel required
