With several branches open around the country, including Auckland, Wellington, Christchurch, and Queenstown, we are striving to provide better accessibility and flexibility to all our customers. We are looking for a customer-focused, high performing manager to take on the key responsibilities of the night shift in our fast-paced Christchurch Branch.

The ideal candidate would be someone eager to jump into this environment and lead the branch team during the night shift through the opportunities 2025 will bring.

• Planning, scheduling, and managing Christchurch workflows and staff during the night shift, and close liaison with our Queenstown operation.
• Recruiting, training and mentoring staff, and managing staff performance
• Identifying, communicating and implementing business development opportunities.
• Overviewing allocation of bookings to vehicles to ensure sufficient vehicles are available to meet bookings and optimize fleet utilization, including identifying needs for additional fleet where necessary.
• Managing Christchurch calendar for fleet maintenance, damage management, compliance requirements (registration, licensing, and certificates of fitness) and accessories, to ensure adequate fleet availability is maintained and maximized.
• Happy at times to roll up your sleeves to assist in daily requirements in customer service, grooming, vehicle movements, and shuttle runs.

• Good interpersonal and relationship building skills
• Great communication skills - Fluency in both written and spoken English is essential
• Good organizational and administrative skills including computer literacy, attention to detail, customer handling
• Ability to successfully multi-task in a fast-paced work environment
• Good work ethic, taking pride in what you do
• A clean full license (New Zealand driver’s license preferred) and good driving skills
• Experience of at least two years working with all facets of rental car operations, including familiarity with the operation of car rental booking systems and fleet (preferred but not required)
• Living close to the airport (ideally within 20 minutes’ drive) is desirable
