Facilities Manager / Head Skipper

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Facilities Manager / Head Skipper with extensive knowledge in tourism, boat operations & safety, yacht charters, maintenance, and project management.

This is a permanent full-time position whereby the ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our yacht operations, management of bookings, facilities maintenance, sales and marketing of our operations.

• Vessel Management, planning and coordinate voyages, including route planning, weather monitoring, and provisioning
• Ensuring the safety of passengers and crew
• Developing and implementing strategic plans for yacht charters
• Overseeing maintenance and repair of the yacht and other business operations
• Managing budgets and financial planning, tracking expenses, and ensuring cost-effectiveness
• Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients and stakeholders
• Identifying opportunities for growth and improvement
• Ensure the highest standards of customer service and safety compliance at all times
• Work collaboratively with your team to deliver an exceptional client experience
• Managing the yacht's systems and performing basic repairs
• Supervise and manage the crew, assigning duties and ensuring they provide excellent service to guests
• Interact with guests, catering to their needs and ensuring their comfort and enjoyment throughout the voyage

• Experience in tourism and yacht charters (min 3 years’ experience)
• Strong knowledge of boat operations and safety protocols
• Proven experience in maintenance and project management (min 3 years’ experience)
• Experience with client’s onboard a charter yacht (min 3 years’ experience)
• A valid First Aid Certificate, STCW, ENG1 and NZ drivers’ licence is required
• Proven experience in a managerial role or related field
• Excellent organisational, communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks
• Excellent leadership and communication skills
• Relevant certifications and qualifications in maritime operations

Hours of Work: 40 hours per week
