Job Description
We are currently looking for an experienced and passionate Junior Sous Chef to join Oaks Wellington Hotel on a Full time basis.
Responsibilities Include:
- Preparing ingredients to use in cooking
- Cook delicious meals
- Ensure great presentation by dressing dishes before they are served
- Ensure all food and other items are stored properly
- Keep the kitchen organized and clean
- Responsible for all types of cleaning, filling records, maintaining food cost, wastage control.
Hourly rate: $29-$31 per hour (excluding KiwiSaver)
Qualifications
To be successful you will have:
- 2+ years experience in a similar position
- Knowledge of breakfast buffet and A-La-Carte is required
- Solid knowledge of various cooking procedures and methods
- Excellent communication skills
- Positive, proactive attitude and a passion for cooking
- Availability to work morning shifts across a 7 day rotating roster (including weekends and public holidays)
