The Service Manager, Te Kahu Toi, Intensive Wraparound Services (IWS) will be responsible for managing a team of field staff in the development, co- ordination and provision of efficient, effective and equitable delivery of services in accordance with the goals, objectives and policies of the Ministry and the principles of the Te Kahu Toi, Intensive Wraparound Service.
Service Managers work collaboratively with the community (e.g.
education providers, Iwi) to understand and address learning support needs at a universal, targeted and individual level.The Service Manager facilitates access to supports and services, helping to bring the right people together to plan how to use available supports and resources collaboratively, flexibly and responsively to meet local needs.
Service Managers lead a team of multi-disciplinary professionals that work within the Learning Support Delivery Model (LSDM) Salary range: $ 115,624
- $ 139,091 per annum + 3% kiwi saver.

About you | Mōhou ake We are looking for someone that has a proven ability to Lead, Coach and support a team of people to achieve quality based outcomes for children and young people with complex needs across a range of contexts, this includes working with their family and community.
You must be able to make fit-for-purpose decisions that are solution-focussed, show curiosity, flexibility and open in analysing and integrating ideas and information from differing perspectives.Be resilient; show composure, grit and a sense of perspective when the going gets tough; to help others maintain optimism and focus.
The successful applicant will be able to demonstrate the following: The ability to lead a multi-disciplinary team of professionals, and manage workload and resource issues The ability to work collaboratively within the context of the IWS model and LSDM to achieve positive outcomes that draw on the combined resources and expertise of the sector, services, and wider community The ability to strengthen sector responses to neurodiversity and a wide range of learning support needs The ability to facilitate the effective use of tools, approaches and people resources that are prioritised within the Learning Support Action Plan Develop strong connections and networks across the Ministry, local education providers, iwi, communities and whānau to achieve educational priorities for the region Broker support from across the Ministry and other agencies to deliver joined up work programmes tailored to local needs Experience at influencing and leading innovation, people, programmes, and change Ability to assess needs, risks, and performance issues and address gaps proactively Ability to follow through and finish complex or sensitive tasks and issues Reporting and assessing skills Ability to use and interpret data including the ability to use information to influence decisions Proven ability to communicate professionally and effectively in both written and oral English A big picture view and ability to think strategically You will also offer: An understanding of the Treaty of Waitangi and its implications for the work of the Ministry of Education especially in matters relating to Māori development and the partnership values that flow from the Treaty A relevant tertiary qualification Current full driver's license The ability and willingness to adhere to the Public Service Standards of Integrity and Conduct.
About our group and team | Mātau rōpū ake Our teams around the country work closely with the Early Childhood and Schooling sectors, providers, and communities to provide support, expertise and resources to help children and young people reach their full potential.
We also directly provide Learning Support for around 40,000 children and young people.Te Kahu Tōī, The Intensive Wraparound Service is a service that provides comprehensive, evidence-based interventions to support children/young people with challenging behaviour, socio-emotional difficulties and complex learning needs across a range of contexts.
The team works collaboratively with children/young people, parents/caregivers and family/whānau, schools, agencies and local communities to develop and implement comprehensive ecological wraparound plans.The priority for these plans is for the child/young person to achieve success at home, school and in their local community.
