Copper Pipe Fitter

Axis Plumbing NZ Pty Ltd is a successful and well-established New Zealand business that operates primarily in Auckland, specializing in large commercial HVAC projects.

We are now on the lookout for experienced Pipe fitters to join our site teams across Auckland and Hamilton. The people we are looking for will have experience in the industry with the following:

• 3-5 years’ experience in Plumbing or HVAC systems
• Experience in crimp and brace copper pipe
• Axis requires all Employees to be drug fee and random drug testing will be required
• Axis requires all employees to have a clean criminal record and might require a police clearance

• Review building plans and specifications to determine the layout for mechanical / plumbing and related materials.
• Identify required tools and special equipment needed for the project.
• Confirm the type, size and specification of all material to supply and install.
• Determine the appropriate brace or crimp equipment or method based on requirements
• Install crimp and or braze copper pipe
• Install PPR and PVC piping where required
• Align components using calipers, rulers etc. and clamp pieces
• Locate and mark positions for connections and fixtures.
• Install supports and hangers for pipe, fixtures and equipment as specified.
• Assemble and install valves, valve sets and fittings as per plan and according to schedule.
• Work with your team both up and down the line.
• Train and develop new team members to Axis standard and skill level.
• Complete Axis and customer QA procedure and documentation.
• Complete time sheets and other documentation on site as required.
• Report all and any irregularities to the site foreman and GM.
• Take responsibility for all Axis work and procedures on site including the H&S requirements.

Friday – 8 Hours
