Alexandra - Barista/Cafe Worker - Full Time
The popular Orchard Garden cafe has once again reopened! As owners, we have a great history within the hospitality sector, owning the Good Oil cafes which are well established and popular cafes in Dunedin. They are renown for their quality food, coffee and outstanding service.
Orchard Garden, located between Alexandra and Clyde, is set amongst an outstanding garden environment of mature trees, hedges and lawns, and features a unique and large macrocarpa maze.
Our garden setting is ideal for locals, and visitors to the area, to relax and enjoy the Central Otago weather, set amongst a tranquil and family friendly setting.
We have a full time vacancy for an experienced general cafe worker, preferably with barista skills but not essential, to join our dynamic team. The expected roster would be possibly from to Sunday 9.00am to approximately 4.30pm, starting as soon as possible.
The ideal person we are looking for will:
- be a competent and experienced cafe worker, and
- be able and willing to carry out a wide range of general cafe duties
- be an experienced and competent barista
- be able to perform consistently in a fast paced environment
- be fit and healthy
- have a calm and reassuring demeanour
- have an engaging personality which customers will be able relate with
- be reliable, dependable and not afraid of hard work!
- be a true team player able to work collaboratively to achieve a common goal
- build on our already high standards of customer service
- be competent at completing a variety of other front of house tasks
- willingness to work weekends is essential
- an understanding of resilience and work ethic will help to get a 'foot in the door'
