Fitter-Welder
APE Engineering Limited based in Papakura, Auckland, is specialised in structural steel, metal fabrication, welding and steel beams. We are looking for two fitter-welders to join our awesome team.
You will be expected to work at different sites throughout Auckland region, a minimum of 30 hours per week from Monday to Friday as normal hours of work, and you may also be required to perform on Saturday as well. Please note this is a permanent full-time role and the hourly pay rate would be $29.66-$32 based on candidates' experience
and skills.
Job Description for This Position- Studying drawings and specifications to determine suitable material, method and sequence of operations, and machine settings
- Fitting fabricated metal parts into products and assembling metal parts and subassemblies to produce machines and equipment
- Accurate structural steel welding and fabrication including other structural steel.
- Checking fabricated and assembled metal parts for accuracy, clearance and fit using precision measuring instruments
- Provide a professional service in a timely manner
- Display a positive team attitude towards the role and colleagues.
- Comply with company guidelines and policies that apply to this position.
Key Requirements for Successful Applicants:
- Having 3-year experience in fabricating or welding operations.
- Relevant qualification or certificate is an advantage.
- Punctual and reliable with a positive can-do attitude will be key in this role
- Be physically fit as the job involves heavy lifting.
- A positive and willing attitude to learn and progress.
- Able to work with deadlines and schedules, and available to work weekends if required.
