Sales assistant

Pay Rate : $ 24-25 per hour

You would be assisting in various bits and pieces throughout the shift

Your primary duties will include fueling vehicles, processing payments, providing customer service, maintaining cleanliness, Checkouts, Customer Service, Stock filling, Stock Taking, General shop duties.

Key Responsibilities include:

1. Check Fuel from Fuel Tanks everyday.
2. Fuel Order when the fuel tanks are low.
3. Fill Fuel in the vehicles whenever required.
4. Enter stock into the system
5. To determining customer requirements and advising on product range and price
6. Handling Checkouts: Preparing sales invoices and accepting payment for goods and services by a variety of payment methods.
7. Assisting with the ongoing management of stock such as product inventories and participating in stock takes
8. Demonstrating and explaining to customers goods and services
9. You will also be responsible for ensuring our Grocery and outside gas station area is clean & tidy
10. To safely unload and receive inwards goods.
11. To verify and check goods match documentation.
12. To report and follow up on any variations between documentation and inwards goods.
13. To fill grocery shelves and displays as required.
14. To re-stack and organise stock within the storeroom.
15. To break-down bulk orders and reorganise them as appropriate for immediate shelf filling, later filling or storage.
16. Other duties that may be allocated as required..

• You will need a good level of physical fitness and the ability to lift up to 20kgs repeatedly.

• Age 18+
• NZ Register Level 1 qualification, or compulsory secondary education or its equivalent international qualifictaion
• Workable communication skills including reading, writing and cash handling.
• Citizen, Resident or a valid Visa to work in New Zealand.
• Ability to work in a Multicultural Environment.
• Physical fitness, as repeated lifting is required.

Although experience is preferred, it is not essential. Training will be provided to the successful applicants.
