Class 5 Truck Driver - Christchurch

It is a full-time permanent role with a minimum guaranteed 30 hours of work per week.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan routes and meet delivery schedules.
• Document and log work/rest periods and kilometers spent driving and retain fuel receipts.
• Comply with truck driving rules and regulations (size, weight, route, designations, parking and break periods) as well as with company policies and procedures.
• Maneuver trucks into loading or unloading positions.
• Collect and verify delivery instructions and any paperwork.
• Report defects, accidents, or traffic violations.
• Servicing, lubricating, cleaning, and refueling the plant and performing minor adjustments and repairs.
• Follow all SOP policies that you signed off at your induction.
• Check ROC, COF and registration weekly.
• Set up traffic management around your site at all times. Safety barriers and safety cones will be carried on your truck at all times.

Qualifications:

• Valid Class 5 driver's license or equivalent overseas license.
• Excellent knowledge of traffic laws and safe driving practices.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to handle physical tasks, including loading and unloading items.
• Good communication skills.
• Familiarity with navigation tools and GPS devices.
• Commitment to adhering to safety regulations and company policies.
