About the role
As a Three Water Hydrovac Truck Operator, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring the reliable and efficient operation and maintenance of our Hydrovac truck. Reporting directly to the Wastewater/Stormwater Team Leader, you'll support our Three Waters teams by providing safe and efficient excavation services for planned and emergency works, contributing to the maintenance and construction projects when required.
In this role your focus will be:- Maintain and take full ownership of the Hydrovac truck, ensuring planned maintenance and daily management are executed effectively.
- Collaborate with team leaders and coordinators to schedule works, prioritising emergency tasks as necessary.
- Coordinate with hydrovac subcontractors to manage overflow requirements and ensure workflow continuity.
- Provide training and support to other staff in operating the machine and assign staff appropriately in your absence.
About you
We are seeking candidate with strong computer skills (MS Word, Excel), attention to detail, initiative, and physical fitness, as well as the ability to work collaboratively, under pressure, and across all Three Water Works areas.
In addition, you will have:- Class 4 and Class 5 driver’s license, Wheels, Tracks, and Rollers licenses.
- Minimum Certificate Level 4 in Pipeline Construction & Maintenance preferred.
- Technical knowledge of reticulation networks and civil works equipment.
- Experience in digger work in a utility environment advantageous.
