Arborist
Arborist of all levels - Huntly
Asplundh is looking for a qualified Arborist to join our Waikato Team!
You will be a motivated and reliable individual with a passion for trees. We are looking for an enthusiastic go getter, someone who is positive, communicates well, is willing to learn, and can find solutions to current and potential client's needs.
The position is based out of our Huntly yard, but your responsibilities may extend across the Waikato region.
We have a wide variety of work available in challenging environments where you can extend your skills and capabilities.
Your duties could include:
- Felling of Trees (small and large)
- Pruning (street trees or private)
- Land Clearance
- Digger and Chipper Operations
- Climbing (small and large trees)
- MEWPs
- Powerline Clearing

To be successful in this role, ideally you will:
- Have a passion for vegetation management
- The willingness to learn and upskill within the business
- Minimum Class 1 driver's license - Class 2 is a bonus
- Experience in a similar role beneficial
- NZQA level 3+ Arboriculturally qualification beneficial but not essential
- The ability to cope with the physical demands of the job
- A high regard for health and safety
