We have fantastic learning opportunity to gain experience in healthcare as a Patient Care Assistant in Radiology with one of the largest employers in South Auckland, providing quality service to Patients, Whaanau and communities of the Counties Manukau region.

In this role you will work closely with staff in the Radiology department based at Middlemore Hospital and Manukau Health Park in the future. In this role you will contribute to the overall patient experience within radiology, taking responsibility for the patient flow process within the department.

You will provide support to MRT and Radiology nurses in the first instance and to radiologists, sonographers and clerical staff when appropriate. Full training will be provided.

We are looking for people who are reliable and committed to providing patient focused care to the diverse community of South Auckland. As a people person, you will also demonstrate excellent communication skills and be a supportive team member.

This role is part time, 0.6FTE working 24 hours per week, Monday to Friday with some weekend rostered shifts.

Essential
  • Excellent written and verbal English communication skills
  • Must be physically fit and reliable
  • IV cannulation experience
  • Comfortable with medical procedure (needles)
  • Healthcare experience will be advantageous
  • Experience in working in a multi-disciplinary team

The salary range is dependent on skills and experience and will be paid in line with the National Administration Collective agreement.
