This 0.6FTE role is based in our clinic in Alexandra.
There has never been a better time to join our Southern Family!About the roleYou will be responsible for maintaining the oral health of children in our region, educating children and their families on oral health and the prevention of dental disease.
You will recognise, diagnose and treat oral abnormalities and disease within your scope of practice.You will work alongside a Dental Assistant as part of a supportive and friendly team who is committed to delivering quality health services for our tamariki.About youWe are looking for an enthusiastic team-player, keen to grow their knowledge and skills with a proactive approach towards learning.
Excellent communication, natural empathy for children and great interpersonal skills are essential.You will need to have the flexibility to be able to cover occasional rostered afternoon shifts.You will also need to be able to work in other clinics throughout the region; on occasion, this may see you staying away overnight.Our ideal candidate will have the following:Registration or be able to gain registration with the Dental Council of New Zealand as an Oral Health Therapist/Dental TherapistA current APC or the ability to apply for oneA full clean NZ driver's licenceView position descriptionWorking at Health New ZealandHealth New Zealand
