Station Controller - Fixed Term

for both passengers and staff. You will play a key role in managing day-to-day station activities, coordinating with various departments, and responding to incidents effectively.

This position demands strong communication skills and requires a customer-focused approach to enhance the passenger experience. You will also collaborate closely with operations staff, safety teams, and maintenance crew to maintain the highest standards of service delivery on Auckland's commuter network.

The role is based in Ellerslie within Auckland and requires shift work across a 24/7 roster, including weekends and public holidays.

• Previous experience in a similar role within a rail or transport environment is preferred.
• Strong understanding of safety regulations and operational procedures.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with cross functional teams
• Proven ability to remain calm and make decisions under pressure during incidents or emergencies.
• Strong organisational skills with ability to manage multiple tasks and work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Customer service-focused mindset, with a commitment to enhancing the customer experience.
• A clean, full NZ Driver's license to ensure flexibility and availability to cover a range of shifts, including early mornings, evenings, and weekends across a 24/7 roster.
