Front of House Staff

We are seeking a motivated and committed Full-Time Front of House staff to join our team in our Restaurant in Masterton. You will be required to work as per the roster, including weekends, public holidays, and in floating and split shifts.

Job Description:

• Greet customers confidently and professionally before taking their orders, serving items, and cleaning away utensils.
• Understand all food and beverage items on the menu and explain particular products to customers, offering personalised recommendations.
• Determine customer requirements and advise on product range, price, and delivery.
• Accept payment for goods and services by various methods and prepare sales invoices.
• Assist with ongoing stock management, such as inventory and stocktakes.
• Stack and display goods for sale and wrap and pack goods sold.
• Comply with the venue’s standards when producing and dispensing food and beverage products.
• Communicate any issues or incidents to management.
• Follow established policies, procedures, guidelines, and manuals to ensure compliance, safety, and profitability.
• Assist in preparing pizza and other dishes as described in the menu.
• Assist in delivering orders as required.
• Provide assistance and support to other departments and colleagues as needed.

Requirements:

• Must have a class 1 Driving license in New Zealand or an equivalent overseas license.
• Presentation focused with a good eye for detail.
• A quick learner who is proactive.
• Basic communication skills in English.
• Basic mathematical skills for cash transactions.
• Ability to work across any shifts, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
• Ability to lift up to 25kg.
• Able to stand for long periods and perform physical work.

Pay rate is $24.00 to $26.00 per hour.
