About the RoleThis newly created role will support our current team during transition to a new laboratory information system (LIS) over the next 15 months.
As part of the LIS team, you will work in conjunction with a network of skilled information services staff, vendors and laboratory users to develop, test and implement the new LIS into production. Click here to view the position description. About the ServiceThe laboratory operates from a main site at Waikato Hospital in Hamilton and also has four rural satellite laboratories.
The LIS is the main hub for the laboratories, connecting to more than 65 other applications in order to provide diagnostic patient results.Our LIS team includes three co-ordinators who support a technical team of over 200 technicians, scientist and pathologists to produce over 10 million results each year.
About Hamilton Waikato Hospital is a major regional hospital in Hamilton and is a leading tertiary teaching hospital located in Hamilton, New Zealand, serving as the regional hub for the Midland area, which includes the Waikato, Bay of Plenty, Lakes, Tairawhiti, and Taranaki districts.
