Our client is looking for you to join their established team – this is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a passion for business mentoring and advisory services, particularly with small to medium businesses.
About the role:
As a manager, you will work closely with team leaders and accountants to make a difference in your clients’ businesses. This newly created role is due to growth and expansion within the firm, offering you the chance to contribute to business strategy while building strong relationships with clients.This role is crucial in driving business management, fostering client relationships, and providing leadership within the team.
Your responsibilities will include providing business advisory services such as tax, financial reporting, and management analysis, as well as assisting in business mentoring meetings and group workshops. With full training provided, you’ll be supported while learning new technologies and playing a key role in mentoring junior staff.Additionally, you will oversee the review of accountants’ work to ensure that high standards and accuracy are maintained.
Key responsibilities:
- Regular client contact, building trusted relationships, both new and existing
- Provide business mentoring and workshop programs to help clients succeed
- Lead tax planning, financial reporting, and management analysis for clients
- Champion new technology solutions, assisting both internal and client needs
- Work closely with the senior team on varied and specialist projects
- Interpret and communicate KPIs with the team and clients, supporting business growth
- Review financial statements, cashflows, and budgets with clients
- Provide leadership and mentorship to the team, fostering a positive and productive work environment
What you’ll need:
- At least four years of business advisory experience within a NZ CA firm
- Strong leadership skills and initiative, with a proven ability to manage projects and client relationships
- Adaptability to new software and technology, with experience in Xero being an advantage
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of working with diverse clients
- Attention to detail and the ability to meet deadlines
- A positive, can-do attitude that thrives on special projects and new challenges
