About the Role
As a Healthcare Assistant your duties will be focused around assisting the Registered Nurse to support the delivery of patient care, maintaining a safe, pleasant and functional environment. You will also be keeping the Theatre Services clean and tidy, directing enquiries, making beds and restocking supplies.
About the Team/Service/ Location
We are seeking Health Care Assistants to join our dedicated team in Theatre Services. The successful applicants will be required to work rostered shifts with an on-call component
You will be located on the Whanganui Campus. Whanganui is a great little progressive city with a friendly chilled vibe. About you
You will also have strong communication skills and a good command of written and spoken English. Being independent and able to use your own initiative is imperative. Also, understanding the need for maintaining the highest levels of hygiene throughout Theatre Services is crucial.
A minimum qualification of ACE level 2 or equivalent is required. Internal training and orientation is offered and further professional development is encouraged.
