About the Role
We are looking for experienced and qualified Support Workers to assist clients in the Christchurch area. Your role will involve providing high-quality care and creating a safe, supportive environment to empower individuals with mental health challenges and disabilities to lead fulfilling lives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide daily support and care tailored to the individual needs of clients
- Assist clients in achieving personal goals and making positive life changes
- Plan and facilitate activities that promote well-being and independence
- Foster connections with whanau (family) and promote social inclusion
- Contribute to a positive and collaborative work environment
About You:
- Passionate about improving the lives of individuals with mental health and disability needs
- Calm, empathetic, and kind in your approach
- Hold a Level 4 certificate in Mental Health (or higher)
- Experience working with clients in the mental health or disability sector is highly preferred
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Willing to undergo background checks and complete relevant training
- Eligible to work in New Zealand
- Current MAPA/CPI training certificate
- Current First Aid certificate
- A full NZ driver's licence is required
