About the Role
A proactive and experienced Business Development Manager who wants to join the successful NZ team. Based in Auckland, with travel nationwide (approx. 4-5 nights away per month), this individual will help drive the company’s growth strategy in New Zealand, by self-acquiring new business across various sectors such as large format retail, education, healthcare, hospitality, and commercial.
- Develop and implement a strategic business development plan, with support from the leadership team, to acquire new clients and expand market presence.
- Nurture relationships with key decision-makers to understand their needs and propose tailored solutions.
- Manage a pipeline of leads and actively seek new business opportunities in strategic market parallels.
- Prospect through cold calling (phone) and face-to-face visits.
- Sell based on unique USPs.
- Prepare and present quotes (training and support provided).
- Collaborate closely with the NZ General Manager and the Operations Management team to ensure seamless service, delivery and exceed client expectations.
- Serve as the key point of contact for quarterly client reviews.
- Manage your own territory and market parallels, covering clients nationwide (but you will spend the majority of your time in the Auckland region).
- Complete all administration and reporting.
- A hunter who understands the Commercial Cleaning market (or similar contract selling in commercial services / facilities / pest control etc.).
- Experience in contract management and client retention strategies.
- An exceptional communicator with no cold call reluctance.
- Clear and professional phone manner, excellent written communication skills, and confident and engaging in face-to-face meetings.
- Proven track record in B2B sales, preferably in the commercial cleaning industry, facilities management, or related sectors.
- Strong negotiation and presentation skills.
- Ability to relate to stakeholders from diverse businesses, with an understanding of the sales-cycle and their decision-making processes.
- Demonstrated success achieving activity and sales KPIs.
- Ability to work autonomously and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Ability to travel nationwide.
