As the Supervisor
  • Kitchen, will be your primary responsibility will beto manage and lead the kitchen staff, including Cooks and Kitchen Assistants,ensuring that our service delivery meets the highest standards.
You will beinstrumental in overseeing daily operations, developing rosters, managingperformance, and ensuring the team provides quality food services to ourpatients and their whanau.Salary
  • Starting rate $30.99 per hour.
Based on the E tū Service and Food Workers collective agreementKey Responsibilities:Team Management:Provide direct line management for Cooks andteam members, supporting them in both their individual and collective roles.Develop and publish working rosters, ensuringstaff attendance is accurately recorded for correct payroll processing.Manage leave plans to ensure a balance betweenstaff wellbeing and service delivery needs.Lead recruitment processes, ensuring thatstaffing levels meet the service
  • s quality requirements.Address performance and conduct issues,including absence management, with HR support and escalate to management whennecessary.Ensure waste manager, food safety controls andquality are meet at all times.Customer Service:Engage with dietitians and clinical staff, addressing any concerns and escalating issues to management when appropriate.Take every opportunity to introduce yourself and gauge satisfaction with the food service, using feedback to suggest and implement improvements.
About youEssential Qualifications & Skills:Minimum of 2 years
  • experience in a leadership role within a kitchen environment.Proven experience in implementing Te Tiriti o Waitangi in action.Experience in training individuals and groups to improve performance and skills.Strong competence with MS Office Suite and a variety of software applications.Extensive experience in large-scale food production.Desired Qualifications & Skills:Experience in the healthcare or aged care sectors.A relevant tertiary qualification, such as a Level 5 Diploma in Management.Food safety and Food Control Plan knowledge and experience.Health and Safety experience within a kitchen or food-related environment.
