Datacom’s Cybersecurity Defence Operations Centre (CDOC) operates out of three locations Auckland, Wellington, & Brisbane from where we provide a full stack of Cybersecurity services including managed SOC/SIEM/EDR.
Our Cybersecurity Defence Operations Centre is a well-established team made up of Cybersecurity Analysts, Platforms Engineers, Automation Specialists, Solutions Delivery Engineers, Threat Intel Analysts, Threat Hunters, & Incident Responders who have been managing customers, both commercial and government, for over 10+ years.

About The Role
Our Cybersecurity Solutions Delivery Engineers are responsible for the delivery of new security services to our customers, focusing on the consultation, design, build, configuration, and transition of cybersecurity solutions. Your technical expertise and leadership will be crucial in ensuring the successful implementation of projects and providing top-notch security services.
What You’ll Do- Oversee and implement the end-to-end delivery of cybersecurity solutions, ensuring projects are delivered on time and meeting quality standards.
- Technical deployment of agreed security products to customer environments in accordance with best practices.
- Ensure project briefs, responses, service estimates, and other pre-sales documentation are created, reviewed, and released according to company and customer expectations.
- Produce and review High-Level Designs, Detailed Designs, Requirement Gathering, and Validation documents.
- Maintain detailed documentation of implemented security solutions, configurations, and procedures, including creating technical documentation, reports, and diagrams.
- Provide guidance and advice to team members, resolving technical problems within established company policies.
- Perform configuration, integration, and testing of cybersecurity technologies.
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations, compliance frameworks, and internal security policies.
- Ability and willingness to be self-managing and proactive.
- A passion for cybersecurity and continuous learning in this fast-moving field.
- 3+ years of experience in a Security Engineering or SOC role (or equivalent experience) preferred with in-depth experience & knowledge of EDR, XDR, & SIEM platforms such as CrowdStrike, Microsoft Defender suite, Splunk, or Sentinel.
- 5+ years’ experience in an Enterprise IT environment, with a technical background and exposure to infrastructure development and deployment.
- Comfortable interacting with a variety of stakeholders (internal and customer), with strong communication, report writing and presentation skills.
- Experience in the design, build, and configuration of Security products.
- Experience in endpoint security concepts, functionality and deployment.
- Experience with and familiarity with coding and / or scripting skills such as Python, PowerShell, Bash. Automation experience would be highly desirable.
- Experience with cloud technologies such as Azure, AWS, or GCP.
- Familiarity with security industry frameworks such as Mitre ATT&CK.
