• About the RoleWe are excited to be able to offer the position of Clinical Nurse Manager
• Coronary Care Unit (CCU) at Tauranga Hospital.

We are building a new CCU ready to open in 2025.

• Health New Zealand standards and contemporary coronary care service and practice.

The role will contribute to and enable achievement of Te Pae Tata (Interim New Zealand Health Plan 2022).This role involves working with a multi-disciplinary clinical team and liaising with other services that interface with coronary care services.

You will be arriving at a time of change, as over a period of 18 months beginning in early 2024, we will be building the new coronary care unit facility and building additional beds for the existing intensive care and high dependency facility.Initially in this new position you will focus your time to contributing the building of the new facility and planning relocation, recruitment, policy development and recruitment to the nursing team.

• ICU/HDU. A high level of collaboration and communication will be required until the Units are finally separated in mid-2025.This is a rare opportunity to lead a dedicated team in a period of substantial change.

• About You You will be an enthusiastic, courageous, and passionate coronary care nursing clinician who is suitably experienced with excellent communication, problem-solving skills, coordination, flexibility, and critical thinking skills.

Your engagement and relationship building skills will be paramount to the success of this role.
