Excavator Operator - Queenstown

Paul Smith Earthmoving is a premier earthmoving company that prides itself on a strong reputation for delivering high-quality civil projects across the South Island.

We are looking for an experienced Excavator Operator to help us break new ground on exciting projects and be part of a team delivering quality earthmoving solutions to our growing client base.

To be successful in this role, you're passionate about plant and equipment and have at least two years of operating experience. A background in civil construction, drainage or bulk earthworks is preferred.

Candidates need to have the following qualifications and attributes:

• Able to follow and understand plans and specifications.
• Appropriate licences and endorsements, or international equivalent.
• Always reliable and punctual.
• Strong understanding and adherence to site safety and compliance.
• Good communication skills amongst peers, managers, and clients.
• The ability to work effectively within a team.
• Have a good work ethic, keen attitude, and take pride in your work.
• Be flexible and prepared to work both on the ground and on the machine.

With continued workload growth we employ more than 190 permanent staff based throughout our Timaru, Ashburton, Christchurch, Greymouth, Twizel, Central Otago and Gore offices. While based in these locations, we also complete projects throughout the South Island.
