An opportunity exists for an Assistant Accountant to join our Finance team in Rosedale.
Reporting to the Team Leader of the Finance Department, you will be responsible for a range of accounting functions including:- Strong, accurate data entry
- Accounts payable
- Accounts receivable
- Tax compliance work
- Reconciliations
- Debt collection
- Extensive use of electronic banking software
Whilst training will be provided, the core skills of being computer literate, organised, accurate, with good attention to detail, are the essential starting point.
Prior experience in a similar position will be crucial, while possessing a degree in accounting would be desirable. The ideal candidate will also find enjoyment in finishing tasks, collaborates effectively with others, possesses keen attention to detail, has excellent data entry skills, and strong written and verbal communication abilities.Experience in budgeting and financial report preparation will be considered an added advantage.
