About the Role
As Clinical Director of this dynamic service, you will be a proactive clinician with the ability to communicate effectively and build great working relationships with our close-knit hospital teams. Our ideal candidate will have experience as a clinical lead in a rural hospital setting with excellent knowledge of medical staff, rostering, and day-to-day operations.
A key component as Clinical Director will be providing a high-quality, cost-effective service to meet the three rural Hospitals, Clinical and Organisational objectives. The successful candidate will be one who is looking to make a contribution to improving outcomes for our rural communities - in particular for Maori, with a focus on addressing inequity.

It is anticipated that this role will be 1.0 FTE including providing clinical care within one or more of the following teams in the service.

Dargaville Hospital

About you
To be considered you must have or be eligible for specialist (or locum tenens) registration with the Medical Council of New Zealand (MCNZ) in a Rural Hospital Medicine Vocational scope of practice.
If you are currently overseas / not yet registered, we can assist you with the application process to obtain MCNZ registration.
