We are seeking experienced Support Workers in the Whangarei area to join our dedicated team. Our client, a young man in his 20s, lives independently with 24/7 support from a committed and caring team. We are specifically looking for support workers with experience in spinal injury care.Current available shifts include Thursdays from 8 AM to 8 PM, as well as multiple sleepover shifts from 8 PM to 8 AM including weekneds.
Key Responsibilities- Providing personalised support to individuals in their own home in accordance with care plans and preferences.
- Duties vary depending on our client's individual needs, some of the tasks are likely to include assisting with
- Promoting independence and social inclusion by facilitating community outings, recreational activities and
- Building positive relationships with clients, families and other stakeholders to ensure a supportive and
- Documenting client progress, observations, incidents accurately and in a timely manner.
- Previous healthcare/support worker experience is essential
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Empathy, patience and a non-judgmental approach to supporting individuals with diverse needs
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Hold a full, clean Driver Licence and have access to a reliable car
- Be clear spoken
- Willingness to undergo relevant training and development
- Competitive hourly rate ranging from $24.08 per hour up to $29.98 per hour depending on relevant qualifications, and paid travel. Sleepover shift is paid at $23.15 per hour.
