We are a leading provider of support services for individuals with diverse needs, including disabilities, health conditions and elderly individuals requiring our assistance. Tlc4u2 is committed to providing high-quality, person-centred care that promotes independence, dignity and wellbeing.

We are seeking experienced Support Workers in the Whangarei area to join our dedicated team. Our client, a young man in his 20s, lives independently with 24/7 support from a committed and caring team. We are specifically looking for support workers with experience in spinal injury care.

Current available shifts include Thursdays from 8 AM to 8 PM, as well as multiple sleepover shifts from 8 PM to 8 AM including weekneds.

Key Responsibilities
  • Providing personalised support to individuals in their own home in accordance with care plans and preferences.
  • Duties vary depending on our client's individual needs, some of the tasks are likely to include assisting with
personal cares, meal preparation, medication administration and household tasks.
  • Promoting independence and social inclusion by facilitating community outings, recreational activities and
social interactions.
  • Building positive relationships with clients, families and other stakeholders to ensure a supportive and
collaborative environment.
  • Documenting client progress, observations, incidents accurately and in a timely manner.
Requirements
  • Previous healthcare/support worker experience is essential
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Empathy, patience and a non-judgmental approach to supporting individuals with diverse needs
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Hold a full, clean Driver Licence and have access to a reliable car
  • Be clear spoken
  • Willingness to undergo relevant training and development
What we Offer
  • Competitive hourly rate ranging from $24.08 per hour up to $29.98 per hour depending on relevant qualifications, and paid travel. Sleepover shift is paid at $23.15 per hour.
