Structural Steel Fabricator/Welder - Christchurch

VIP Structural Steel is a locally owned and operated business specialising in the design, supply, fabrication, and erection of structural steel for commercial and residential projects. We are seeking applications from experienced structural steel Fabricators and welders.

• Proficient in welding MIG Flux (FCAW), and Arc/Stick (MMAW), preferably with current tickets.
• Relevant tertiary qualification in a welding discipline; OR Minimum of 3 years’ relevant work experience
• Structural steel welding experience
• Exceptional Health and Safety practices
• The ability to read and accurately interpret drawings and fabricate/assemble accordingly
• The ability to communicate clearly in English and understand instructions

• Structural welding & general fabrication in steel.
• Welding and fabrication in accordance with relevant specifications and standards
• Ensure all workshop equipment, including overhead gantry cranes, are used appropriately

• Permanent
• Monday-Friday
• Guaranteed minimum 30 hours, normal working hours are 45 hours a week
• Pay from $25.50 per hour minimum to $34.00 depending on experience and role.
• Location of the job is Christchurch
