Sous Chef - Christchurch
Food Preparation: Chopping vegetables, preparing sauces, thawing frozen items, and other basic food prep tasks.
Assisting in the preparation of meals, including salads, side dishes, and appetizers.Preparing ingredients for the daily menu, ensuring everything is ready for cooking.
Cooking and Plating: Cooking dishes as directed by the Head Chef or Sous Chef.
Plating food neatly and attractively.
Kitchen Maintenance: Cleaning and maintaining kitchen equipment and work surfaces.
Organizing and stocking kitchen supplies.Following food safety and sanitation procedures.
Supervision and Coordination: Supervising other kitchen staff, such as line cooks or food prep workers.
Coordinating with other chefs and kitchen staff to ensure a smooth workflow.
Other Duties: May assist with menu development and planning.
May be responsible for food cost control and inventory management.Skills and Qualifications:
Culinary Skills: Proven ability to cook and prepare food, including experience with different cuisines
