Qualifications: Certificate in Food science / Hospitality management preferred but not required
Experience: 2 year of experience in Mexican cuisine considered as in-lieu of formal qualifications.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Inspects and selects ingredients for cooking
  • Measures, cleans, chops, blends, seasons, heats and cools food
  • Monitors food cooking processes to ensure proper cooking and presentation
  • Coordinates, supervises and collaborates with kitchen staff in food preparation and cooking
  • Cleans and maintains kitchen equipment and utensils
  • Monitors and maintains inventory of food supplies and equipment
  • Assists in the development of new recipes and menu items
  • Prepare and cook a variety of North and South Indian dishes
  • Ensure high-quality food preparation and presentation
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen
  • Work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Follow all safety and hygiene standards
Requirements:
  • Knowledge of traditional Mexican cooking techniques and ingredients
  • Ability to work as part of a team and take direction
  • Strong attention to detail and passion for food
  • Ability to work flexible hours
