Factory Manager
Guangxiang Foods is operated under Hub Pakuranga Limited manufacture Chinese pastries, including Buns, Dumplings and Wontons, etc. We are looking for a factory manager to take in charge the factory operation, organise and control the production process, to ensure the pastries products are made to our company standards, to ensure the orders are completed on time.
Skill and qualification required- Bachelor degree in business or equivalent;
- Or at least 2 years relevant working experience at food factory in New Zealand.
- Bilingual ability is recommended to communicated with our factory workers speaking Mandarin.
- Excellent knowledge in making Chinese pastries.
- Excellent time management skills, to manage the schedule of production orders;
- Able to work under pressure.
- Able to work on flexible hours, including weekends
Duties and Responsibilities
Your primary responsibility is to oversee the daily operations of the factory, ensure production targets are met efficiently, safely, and in compliance with all regulatory and quality standards. You are also required to manage factory staff, optimising processes, and maintaining a high standard of food safety.
- Plan, coordinate, and monitor daily production activities to meet output targets.
- Ensure production schedules align with customer orders and inventory requirements.
- Lead, train, and manage factory teams, promote a positive, safety-conscious culture and team-based work environment.
- Ensure strict compliance with food safety standards (e.g. HACCP, NZFSA).
- Work closely with Quality Assurance to investigate and resolve any quality or compliance issues.
- Implement and monitor Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
- Ensure a safe workplace in accordance with NZ health and safety legislation.
- Oversee incident investigations, hazard management, and safety training initiatives.
- Foster a culture of proactive health and safety awareness.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and cost savings.
- Manage resources effectively, including raw materials, labour, and equipment.
- Collaborate with maintenance teams to minimise equipment downtime.
- Maintain accurate records related to production, safety, quality, and staffing

Wages: 31.61-38.50 per hour
