Health Services Coordinator
Ranfurly Veterans’ Trust, is a not-for-profit organisation providing care and support to veterans and their Whanau across New Zealand. We are currently seeking a dynamic individual to join our team as a Health Services Coordinator.
This is an exciting position reporting to the CEO, working in a small team alongside Ranfurly Hospital and Veteran Home, RSA’s, government, and NGO agencies to ensure veterans and their whanau get the appropriate care and support.
Due to our current growth, this is a part time fixed-term position for 12 months based at The Ranfurly Veterans Centre Three Kings Auckland.
Key components of the role,- Work collaboratively, build and sustain positive working relationships and rapport with a diverse range of organisations.
- Working closely with veterans and their whanau to ensure they are getting the appropriate care and support
- Develop and implement processes, resources, and systems that positively impact veteran outcomes.
- Manage and promote the Respite care / Long term care bed and facilities for veterans.
Key qualities for success in this role include:
- Strong customer service approach in dealing with individuals and whanau with the highest degree of confidentiality and discretion
- Strong personal work ethic and initiative, with the ability to work in a team environment or self-directed to prioritise your own workload.
- Medical background, with assessment, rehabilitation and understanding of public health services is highly advantageous, empathy and understanding of veterans and their families is key.
- A high level of computer literacy, proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Local travel and some national travel may be required. Laptop and phone provided.
