Nutri Fare has a long history of making chilled cooked salads, specialized sauces, chilled and frozen meals, precooked chilled pastas, rice, potato, kumara. Our wholesale foodservice product range is designed for hospitality and catering providers, service delicatessens, supermarkets, food assembly manufacturers, childcare centers, healthcare, and aged service . We are looking for a cook who enjoys good wholesome food with high food safety standards and enjoys being part of a team. Viders . The Role This is a permanent Full-Time position for a Chef/Cook, and it requires you to set an example in the kitchen with your exemplary cooking skills. This role is ideal for an inspired, hardworking individual, with a commitment to high standards. Your main responsibilities include:
  • Monitoring quality of dishes at all stages of preparation and presentation
  • Discussing food preparation issues with managers, kitchen and production.
  • Demonstrating techniques and advising on cooking procedures.
  • Preparing and cooking food to a consistently high standard.
  • Taking ownership of the food control plan and all team members understand the cleaning standards and processes within the kitchen.
  • Ensure all food is prepped and portion controlled prior to service to ensure no food prep is required to be completed during service.
  • Ensuring clear communication between the kitchen, front of house and head office.
We are anticipating the role's hours to be at least 30 hours per week with a maximum of 60 hours per week. The Pay We're proud to offer a highly competitive pay rate of $32.00 to $34.00 per hour for this position. Skills / Experience We are looking for an energetic, passionate and hard working candidate. The ideal candidate will be someone with:
  • A passion for food and providing experiences
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Knowledge of Stock and Inventory Control
  • Strong knowledge of Food and Beverage Operation .
  • Strong leadership and culinary skills
  • Energy and enthusiasm to share with your team
  • Proven experience in a fast paced high end kitchen environment
  • NZ Register Diploma (ANZSCO Skill Level 3), or at least two to three years of relevant experience
