Job description:-
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Use hand and power tools, such as drills, saws, and sanders, and a variety of building materials to build cabinets, furniture, fixtures, or partitions.Practice safely, accurately, and efficiently in periods of heavy workload.
Building codes and regulations; specialise in specific types of construction or specialty trades.
Perform other construction-related tasks, such as applying finishing nails, molding and trim, and installing door hardware, as assigned.
Meet project deadlines.
Learn new skills, including recognising and following safety procedures.
Assemble and fasten materials to make framework or props, using hand tools and wood screws, nails, dowel pins, or glue.
Build or repair cabinets, doors, frameworks, floors, and other wooden fixtures used in buildings, using woodworking machines, carpenter's hand tools, and power tools.
Inspect ceiling or floor tile, wall coverings, siding, glass, or woodwork to detect broken or damaged structures.
Communicates with the rest of the construction team.
Execute measuring activities.
Cut, shape and smooth the needed material.
Provide excellent customer service and addition as required by customer.
Immediately report to supervisor for any accident at work place.
OTHER SKILL: Building and carpentry skills
Knowledge of building methods and materials the ability to properly use and maintain toolsan understanding of building and safety regulations.
Need to be reasonably fit, healthy and strong, as building work can involve a lot of heavy lifting.
