About the role:
We are currently seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Officer to hit the ground running in a close-knit team at our head office in Ellerslie. Reporting to the Management Accountant, this role will play an integral part in processing client invoices, ensuring accuracy in financial transactions and being the focal point of contact for any client queries.This is a fast-paced role that would suit someone with strong accounting experience.
Key Responsibilities- Process high volume supplier invoices accurately in the system.
- Prepare payment batches for authorization
- Identify/Expedite variances and resolve any inaccuracies
- Weekly credit card/staff expense claims
- Reporting and Analysis as required
- Active participation in system improvement and/or integrations
- Adhoc duties – Stationery ordering etc or as requested by your reporting manager
For this role, you will require:
- Minimum 3 years of Accounts Payable experience in a high-volume environment preferably in Transport/Logistics sector
- Advanced knowledge of MS Office (word, excel, outlook)
- Advanced computer knowledge and transport/logistic related programmes and systems (Moneyworks/SAP etc)
- Sound understanding of accounting principles.
