The Role
Based in Te Kuiti and reporting to the Regional Harvest Manager, this dynamic role makes a significant contribution to the operational success of the FMNZ harvest capacity. Our ideal candidate will come from a harvesting background and have a practical knowledge of harvest operations.A relevant tertiary qualification would also be advantageous, however, not essential.
Key parts of the role
Co-ordinating and assisting with management of harvesting operations to provide the best possible result for our forest owners in conjunction with the Harvest Project Manager and Regional Harvest ManagerAssisting with preparation/implementation of pre-harvest plans including roading and consent applications
Monitoring contractor performance and progress
Assisting with harvest roading infrastructure and organisation of documents and external providers
Auditing, log quality and woodflow checks with contractors
Ensuring FMNZ environmental standards are adhered to
Promotion of and compliance with health and safety standards
