Cook's Assistant

We are a busy Indian Restaurant based in Botany. We are looking for assistants for our cooks. Commitment, Reliability and right attitude are key to succeeding in this role. You should be hard working, energetic, self-motivated and willing to go the extra mile to achieve results for our customers.

• Wages - $25-$30/hour
• Working Hours - Min 30 hrs/week

• Level 3- Certificate is required.
• OR 1 year experience in commercial kitchens is required.
• 2 year experience will be preferred.

• Peeling, slicing and cutting the vegetables as per the requirements
• Removing cooked food from ovens and food warmer
• Gathering pots and pans required in preparation for cooking food ingredients
• Checking all dishes in every stage while preparing
• Keeping the perishable and non-perishable food items, utensils, small appliances at the allocated storage areas
• Maintain hygiene in cooking area remove or replace outdate items with fresh one and also maintain safety standard.
• Cooking, roasting and heating the food items as instructed by the cook
• Checking the supplies and informing the manager in timely manner
• Adhering to company’s procedure for food hygiene & health and safety
